Supporting Turia’s Everest Trek
Arcadium HQ was proud to support our client, Carole, as she embarked on a life-changing trip to the Everest Base Camp in 2017.
Carole raised much-needed funds for Interplast, a charity which provides life changing surgery and medical training in 17 countries across the Asia Pacific region.
Carole joined 24 other adventurous souls on an Inspired Adventures trek through Nepal to Base Camp, raising more than $240,000 between them.
Interplast is an exceptional charity who partner with local organisations, including hospitals, universities and local NGOs with a mission to ‘repair bodies and rebuild lives’. Not only do they provide surgical services to those who could not otherwise afford or access these, they also work to build the capacity of local medical systems through training and mentoring programs.
We’re proud that our support went toward helping people like Radj, a nine-year old boy who was unable to smile because of nerve damage in his face. The Interplast surgeons have operated on Radj, fixing the nerve damage and restoring his smile.
And as for Carole, trekking to Everest Base Camp is a remarkable physical feat. Well done!
